Originally, it was the second largest cinema in Brussels, built in 1931 by the architect Marcel Chabot (2700 seats). The largest was that of the Métropole cinema located on rue Neuve by the architect Adrien Blomme.

Since the 70s, the single Eldorado room has been redivided into multiple rooms, there are 12 today.

Fortunately classified in 1994, the most prestigious room has been preserved.

It now has 766 seats and a large 130m2 screen.

The most remarkable aspect is its gilded Art Deco frescoes, created by the artists Wolf and Van Neste, illustrating the Congo of the 1930s.

Fauna, flora, characters, landscapes are illustrated in relief in a typically Art Deco style.

Four large frames on each side of the room, made of painted and gilded stucco.

Large Egyptian-inspired cornices frame the ceiling, itself decorated with a flamboyant sun.

The restorations of the 1990s have magnified the effects with adequate lighting.

This prestigious room can be privatized. (see HERE).
