Amazing modernist construction in the shape of an ocean liner.
Designed in 1936 by the municipal architect Laurent Bruggeman, after a lot of disagreements, discussions and abandoned projects.
From the start, it housed a restaurant and luxury hotel, aimed at a wealthy French clientele.
The style is modernist, inspired by the ocean liner Normandie, tubular railings, portholes, black hull and white living space.
Long abandoned, it was completely restored in 2007 and now houses a restaurant.
The building is in good condition and is on the list of protected monuments.
