A beautiful facade that is both modernist and Art Deco, designed in 1933 by the Ostend architect Silvain Smis for his own use.
Divided into two unequal bays under a cornice and a mansard roof.
The left bay has a beautiful entrance framed by two white stone statues in expressionist style by sculptor D. Devriendt.
Two robust male figures squatting, stonemasons with hammer and chisel, like Atlases supporting the lintel.
The porch is decorated with colored ceramics, and two small cubist stained glass windows adorn the windows on either side of the entrance door.
The façade is made of yellow bricks, typical of the period, with beautiful brickwork around the oriel window.
The building has been listed since 2005
