Sturbaut Street has a large number of Art Deco style houses, all designed after the creation of this “new” street between 1930 and 1940.
Some beautiful examples like this one, very neat, designed by the architect Albert Massez.
It is made of blond bricks on a hard stone base. Signature at the bottom right.
Simple plan, three levels, bow window on the first floor, and pretty stained glass windows.
Large overhanging wooden cornice. All period woodwork.
The narrow front door is topped with a canopy and a glass brick transom.
The house is in very good condition.
