Double villa built in 1931 according to plans by Henry Van De Velde, commissioned by Maurice Colman, a great art lover and friend of the painter Albert Saverys.
It is sometimes called the Colman-Saverys villa.
Thanks to his connections with the authorities, he was allowed to build a flat-roofed villa in the modernist style that differed from the Anglo-Norman villas recommended at the time.
The façade is entirely horizontal, made of dark bricks and painted concrete, alternating curves and straight lines.
The railings are reminiscent of the steam liner style that was in vogue at the time.
The same brick is applied to the low walls of the garden and the exterior stairs.
The Westhinder villa has recently been restored, inside and out, regaining its former splendor. Today it is a family home.
Listed monument since January 1994.
