In 1928, Jef Huygh built this atypical Art Deco house, influenced by the Amsterdam School,

for his client, Emiel Van Dyck.

Like its neighbor, it stands out among the other more classical buildings on the street.

Primarily composed of red brick and natural stone, its regular façade consists of eight faceted brick pilasters, framing eight narrow windows.

The natural stone ornamentation is simple and repetitive.

The triangular gable is decorated with a hollow coat of arms, which would originally have borne the inscription 't’Scild' (coat of arms), and is framed by two pinnacles with carved floral bouquets.

The house is in good condition and is listed as a protected monument.
