  • Van Meel Gustaaf

A beautiful three-façade house, designed in 1932 by Gustaaf Van Meels, who was influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright, the Amsterdam School and Willem Marinus Dudok.

The architect plays with superimposed volumes, horizontalities, alternating yellow and brown bricks laid horizontally and vertically, and a smooth finish under the roof.

He adds verticality with the massive chimney on the left of the façade.

The entrance, under a canopy, is particularly neat with its stylish door, decorated with elegant ironwork, the window lighting the toilet and the large window on the living area.

The stairwell is lit by two tall narrow openings in purple glass bricks.

Despite the transformations that have occurred over the years, the house seems to have regained its original appearance.

It is in excellent condition.
