Exceptional house with an expressionist façade, influenced by the Amsterdam school.
It is the work of the Ghent architect Félicien Bilsen (1883-1936).
A very symmetrical façade, ending in a large pointed gable.
The two exterior bays are identical, with the exception of the ground floor.
The architect imagined a façade like embroidery, an elaborate masonry work of different colours, orientations and positions.
The small eight-sided openings add even more rhythm to the building.
All the wooden frames and doors appear to be original and have kept their stained glass windows.
Only the two windows on the top floor have lost their original small frames and stained glass windows.
Listed house since November 1995.
