Designed in 1928 by architect Eduard Van Steenbergen, this is a very special house commissioned at the time by the director of the Antwerp library, Mr Van den Berghe.
Built in brick, the façade is characterized by its angular spurs for the main floor as well as for the right bay that opens onto the stairwell.
A concrete lintel separates the lower window into two parts and forms a canopy above the front door.
The rectangular windows with small panes are decorated with stained glass windows with very geometric designs.
The framework is original.
The garage was added in 1952 by the same architect.
The whole is in good condition, the building has been protected since 1995.
