Large villa designed in 1930 by Marcel Leborgne, an architect born in Gilly and whose work is mainly located in the Charleroi region. An avant-garde architect, his rather extensive work did not survive the demolitions of the 1970s!
However, a few survivors can be observed.
This three-façade villa is strongly inspired by the “Villa des frères Martel” created in 1927 by Mallet Stevens in Paris. It contrasts with the surrounding houses,
The villa has a very cubist façade, the central part of which is set back and formed of large curves that contrast with the more rectilinear side parts.
A porch under a canopy includes the entrance door and two side windows.
The first floor has a small balcony topped with an arch. The round corner tower is decorated with a cubist designs stained glass window.
The whole is in fairly good condition.
