Michel Polak, born in Mexico City (Mexico) on January 27, 1885 and died in Brussels on October 4, 1948.
Following the premature death of his parents, Michel Polak was sent to Switzerland and France, where he left with the best diplomas.
Back in Brussels in 1922, he was entrusted with the project of the Résidence Palace, a huge luxury apartment complex.
He designed, among others, the Plaza Hotel, the Villa Empain and the Eastman Dental Institute, all creations in the purest Art Deco style.
His two sons, André and Jean, continued in their father's footsteps by building major urban projects and getting involved in real estate development.
